Sunshower is an innovative Dutch company, founded by engineers Merijn Wegdam and Oscar Meier. Inspired by the great benefits of sunlight. the duo developed an entirely new product: sunlight in the shower.With their products, the company wants to contribute to health and happiness under the motto: Create your own sunshine!
Innovation and development. This start-up from 2003 has grown into a professional organization with a product assortment that is constantly improving, developing and expanding. In addition to health products, Sunshower also makes medical devices where light is used for treating skin diseases. The sister company Sunshower Medical is an innovator with respect to light therapy at home. With medical specialists Sunshower’s products are developed in collaboration with TNO* and medical specialists from LUMC and VUMC*. The experts as well as science confirm that UV light and infrared light offer a lot of health benefits when used responsibly. For example, infrared relieves muscle pain and helps with pain manage-ment and shortens the daily start-up time for people who suffer from arthritis. UV light is responsible for the production of vitamin D, which increases our resistance and raises our energy level.
